Phoenix Children’s earns top rankings in Leapfrog quality and safety survey
The 2009 Leapfrog Survey is in, and Phoenix Children's Hospital received excellent scores for quality and safety. Phoenix Children's Hospital received perfect scores in the prevention of medical errors, ICU staffing, and reducing ICU infections and near-top scores for taking steps to avoid harm. The Hospital's house-wide implementation of its computerized provider order entry (CPOE) helped Phoenix Children's earn its top score in prevention of medical errors.
According to The Leapfrog Group 2009 survey, Phoenix Children's Hospital is excelling in quality and safety efforts, tied with Mayo Clinic Arizona among Valley hospitals and among the best children's hospitals nationally.
