Proclamations

 

In Maricopa County alone, an average of 19 children and teens drown every year.. These devastating losses can be prevented. To encourage water-safe practices, and to recognize the impact of drownings and near drownings, this proclamation was signed by Governor Brewer and Mayors throughout the State of Arizona.

 

All month long, Phoenix Children’s Hospital will have a special display to honor children touched by drowning, as well as proclamations for Drowning Impact Awareness Month 2012.
