Water Safety is For You - for Older Children
Learning the basics like reading and math in the classroom is fun and life-saving with our free Water Safety is for YOU curriculum. This program is designed for first grade students, and teaches vital water safety concepts while addressing Arizona State Academic Standards. Water Safety is for YOU has been honored with an award from the National Water Safety Congress.
Using the supplemental book, “Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim ,” the program allows teachers to bring water safety into the classroom in the context of lessons about grammar, cause and effect, sequencing, and other existing learning priorities. Six basic lessons are included, along with supplemental activities. The program is designed to foster parent discussion about water safety, and features all children and adult materials in Spanish and English.
