Phoenix Children's NICU - McDowell Road

 

Our Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU,) located on McDowell Road on the campus of Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, is getting a facelift.  When complete in 2008, the facility will set a benchmark for neonatal care in the United States with 38,000 square feet and 76 private patient rooms, or "womb rooms." 

 

The nursery will grow to four times its current size, enabling our medical team to provide the highest level of care in a setting that benefits both patients and their families.

 

The NICU provides highly specialized care for the high-risk newborn, including caring for babies of high risk pregnancies, babies born prematurely, multiple births, and congenital anomalies.
