Volunteer
Interested in becoming a volunteer
at Phoenix Children's Hospital?
The volunteer program at Phoenix Children's Hospital is underwritten by Kohl's Cares for Kids.

Where would we be without our in-house and community volunteers? Our volunteers help us to provide the best hope, healing, and care to children and families here at Phoenix Children's.
Corporate CEO's, retired seniors, stay at home moms, high school and college students have all stepped out of their busy lives to make time for helping others at Phoenix Children's.
In-House Hospital Volunteers
Each prospective volunteer interested is required to attend a 1 hour information session explaining the service areas, program commitments, and details about the application process.
For a complete listing of upcoming Volunteer Information Sessions, visit our Calendar of Events.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer in the hospital. And volunteers between the ages of 16 and 18 need parental permission.
Our in-house volunteers are asked to sign an agreement pledging to volunteer a minimum of 100 hours, about 3-4 hours per week. Our volunteers take their jobs as seriously and work as hard as our paid staff.
For the safety and wellbeing of our patients, we conduct a health and background screening. We also provide specialized training for each volunteer. This process is very costly. Please be realistic and honest when deciding to make this commitment.
Not interested in a long-term commitment?
Become a community volunteer.
We have other, equally important opportunities to support the hospital that do not require such an extensive time commitment, such as helping in the community.
If you are interested in community opportunities send your full name and email address to dwhitney@phoenixchildrens.com.
Community volunteers do not go through a health and background screening and are not required to attend an information session.
We are truly thankful to have such a large talented group of people who are so committed to the Hospital's mission and the community we serve.
