Volunteer Special Events

Throughout the year, Phoenix Children's Hospital participates in a variety of community events. Volunteer duties range from working at a phone bank to solicit funds to doing fingercasts on children at a booth.

When volunteering at events it is important to note the following.

  • Please be sure to arrive on time. We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your shift or as otherwise noted. At this time, you will be trained on the activities for the day. Most events are quite busy and you'll want to ask questions early.
  • For security purposes, we recommend that you leave purses and other valuable items in your car or at home. Fanny packs work well for carrying any personal items you may need. Depending on the event, you may wish to bring a light jacket. Water bottles are usually allowed at most events.
  • Appropriate dress attire for events would include a company T-shirt/polo or a plain colored top; black and/or khaki shorts or pants.
  • We also ask that you not bring children to the event. Again, activities will keep you busy and you will not be able to provide proper supervision.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our special events. Our yearly calendar is full and we rely heavily on volunteers to provide enjoyable activities for the event participants.
