Guidelines for Stem Cell Transplant Care
Phoenix Children's Hospital's Stem Cell Transplant/Hematology/Oncology Unit is located on the second floor, with the transplant rooms located on 2A (the north side).
Stem cell transplant patients have private rooms with special features to help control infection.
A positive airflow system allows air to be pushed out of the room whenever the door opens, rather than have air flow into the patient room. These rooms also have special HEPA air filtration that filters air to help control infection.
The following are additional guidelines for stem cell transplant patients and visitors:
- Mouth Care
- Skin Care & Hygiene
- Personal Belongings
- What to Expect on a Daily Basis
- Visitor Policy
If you have any questions about the guidelines or any other part of the stem cell transplant process, please contact us.
