Stem Cell Transplant Medications

 

A child may be required to take a number of medications during the stem cell transplant process at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Among them are:

 

 

Many of these medications given through the child's central venous catheter (CVC), although some are given by mouth.

 

When the child is discharged, most of the medications are given by mouth. However, it may be necessary to receive IV medications at home or return to the clinic to receive them.
