About Vascular Anomalies
A vascular anomaly is an encompassing term for a vascular condition that may be seen at birth or during the first few months to years of life.
This group of conditions affect a child’s blood vessels. Vascular anomalies are further divided into vascular tumors (or growths), and vascular malformations, usually in the skin or deeper tissues of the body.
These two conditions are often treated very differently so making the correct diagnosis is important for your child’s care and treatment plan.
