Patients receive a comprehensive initial evaluation by the team. This assessment involves medical history, physical exam, and laboratory studies to ensure comprehensive assessment of cardiovascular risk factors.
Ongoing Health Monitoring to Ensure Continued Wellness
The clinic's team of medical professionals provides a continuum of care that spans well beyond the initial visit. Updated assessments and treatments occur on a three-month basis and include a follow-up medical history, exam, nutritional history, family environment evaluation, and activity level assessments.

Led by endocrinologist Tala Dajani, MD, MPH, FAAP, the Lipid Clinic includes talented medical professionals from a variety of sub-specialty care areas:

Collaborative Care Available at One Location
Lipid Clinic patients identified with elevated blood pressure, sleep apnea, glucose intolerance/diabetes mellitus, or psychological disorders are referred to Phoenix Children's respective specialty team for appropriate evaluation and treatment.
