The Pediatric Otolaryngologists at Phoenix Children’s Hospital provide complete care for children with diseases and disorders of the ears, nose, throat, head and neck (ENT). Together with other specialists of the Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Audiology and Speech Therapy divisions and staff, they provide comprehensive care exclusively for children and support for their families.
Ear tube placement and tonsils/adenoid removal are two of the most common procedures for children. Phoenix Children’s specializes in the care of children with chronic and recurrent ear infections, which are often treated with ear tubes. Phoenix Children’s also performs more than 500 tonsil and adenoid removals per year due to recurrent tonsillitis, obstructive sleep disordered breathing and sleep apnea in children.
In addition, managing children with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck requires the expertise of a specialist, especially in an emergency situation. Phoenix Children’s is the only hospital in the Valley that offers 24/7 pediatric ENT coverage in the Emergency Room.

Programs & Services
- Aerodigestive Clinic - The Aerodigestive Clinic is the only program in the Southwest to offer coordinated care from the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Gastrointestinal (GI) and Pulmonary departments to those children with complex problems in swallowing, breathing and feeding.
- Feeding and Swallowing Team - We work hand-in-hand with Pulmonology and Speech and Language Specialists to help resolve your child's feeding and swallowing problems.
- Craniofacial Program - In conjunction with our Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Neurology departments, we provide reconstructive or corrective surgery to improve complex structural abnormalities of the head and face to improve breathing.
- Interventional Radiology - The ENT department works closely with the Interventional Radiologists to treat complex diseases such as Vascular and Lymphatic Malformations.
