Betsy Kuzas Named Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital
Betsy Kuzas has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Kuzas joined Phoenix Children’s in 2006 as Vice President of Ambulatory and Support Operations. In her new role she is responsible for the Hospital's master facility plan and oversees Support Services including Food, Environmental and Facility Services.
Kuzas led the hospital’s $538 million campus expansion, developing an in-house Planning, Design and Construction model to support implementation of the Thomas Campus Master Plan, culminating in the opening of the hospital’s 11-story tower this summer. She also led implementation of the Hospital’s satellite strategy, placing Phoenix Children’s centers in high growth areas of the Valley.

Kuzas has more than 20 years of industry experience with a concentration in consulting. She was a Senior Manager with Capgemini (formerly Ernst & Young) in health care management consulting and was the Project Director for the Capgemini transition team at Phoenix Children's. Kuzas earned an MBA at Baldwin Wallace College, MT (ASCP) – University Hospital Heath System of Cleveland, and a BA from Miami University of Ohio.
