Clinical Education and Professional Development

Our supportive role for the Center for Nursing Excellence will be visible as we start to collaborate with Nursing Leadership, Human Resources and most importantly Clinical Staff Nurses in defining the Phoenix Children's Hospital Nursing Care Delivery Model which will flow into a Professional Clinical Ladder for Nurses.

A Professional Clinical Ladder that supports clinical development will provide a framework for professional growth, development, recognition and reward of the clinician. Enhancing clinical expertise, psycho-motor skills, critical thinking and good clinical decision making, requires that our Preceptor and Mentor Programs be closely integrated.
