Simple strategies and a few phrases will help you and our families! For two days, learn in a relaxed environment. Listen to music in Spanish and try Mexican pan dulce. Topics include greetings, wayfinding, appointments, food, toys, and comforting phrases. Sign up for No-Stress Spanish and the little niño you take care of will say ¡gracias! Especially good for nurses. This class is open to beginning and intermediate speakers of Spanish.
Spanish Bilingual Assistant Medical Interpreter Class
Spanish Bilingual Assistant is a 60-hour class for people who speak English and Spanish and want to learn about medical interpreting. Topics include interpreter ethics, protocol, and practice; culture; and basic overview of anatomy, physiology, diagnosis, and treatment. This class will be taught at Phoenix Children's Hospital two times during the next year and is open to people who work here as well as participants from the community.
