Proclamations

In Maricopa County alone, an average of 20 children drown every year.  These devastating losses can be prevented.  To encourage water-safe practices, and to recognize the impact of drownings and near drownings, proclamations will be signed by Governor Jan Brewer and mayors throughout the state of Arizona.

Hard copies of proclamations will be on display at Phoenix Children's Hospital throughout the month of August.
