Clean Air Cab, Arizona’s first completely carbon neutral taxicab service, has released their second charity cab and the first Phoenix Children’s Hospital themed cab on the streets of metropolitan Phoenix.

“We believe in giving back to our community by creating unique partnerships with Susan G. Komen and most recently, the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation,” says Clean Air Cab founder Steve Lopez. Clean Air Cab will donate one dollar of every fare to Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH). Clean Air Cab is dedicated to provide safe transportation that betters the quality of the environment, making it affordable and convenient for our community to support the growth of alternative energy, as well as support the expansion of PCH. In 2008, Phoenix Children's Hospital broke ground on a $538 million expansion that will transform the Hospital to a nationally renowned pediatric medical campus and set a new standard in children's healthcare.  

Based out of Mesa, Ariz., Clean Air Cab is Arizona's first carbon neutral taxicab service. Its mission is to make it affordable and convenient for everyone to go green by offering green cabs at less expensive rates than traditional cab alternatives. The eco-friendly transportation company has a fleet of 32 Toyota Prius, currently the most fuel-efficient hybrid auto on the market. The Ford Crown Victoria's traditionally used by cab companies releases approximately 160% more emissions than the Toyota Prius. The Toyota Prius also offers an extra 33 miles per gallon of gas - a gas savings of almost 1,000 miles per gallon across the fleet. In addition to the substantial reduction of carbon emissions and improved mileage offered by its fleet, Clean Air Cab purchases carbon offsets and supports global reforestation by subsidizing the planting of 10 rain forest trees monthly for each cab in service.
