- Honor - PALs members will respect and remember the values and contributions of the Phoenix Children's Hospital family, both past and present.
Goals and Objectives
PALs is here to help Phoenix Children's Hospital in a variety of ways. We will contribute by assisting in fundraising events, volunteering with hospital programs, and mentor others about the importance of philanthropy. PALs looks to become an important member of the Phoenix Children's Hospital family.
Fundraising
An important part of our council is helping to raise funds for the Hospital. Whether we are assisting the Foundation or creating fund raisers on our own, this is integral in helping to promote philanthropy.
You can help us by making a donation online right now!
Mentorship
PALs is developing a mentorship and ambassador training program for current and past teenage patients and family of patients. The intent of the program is to teach these teens the importance of philanthropy in adulthood and how to tell their story effectively to benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital. They get involved in a grant giving process and attend workshops to learn the concepts and allow them to experience the power of giving.
Advising
As former patients and family members of former patients, we have a unique perspective and insight into the Hospital. It is our hope that the council will become a vehicle for change and our advice will be considered in future improvements and additions to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Volunteering
Being able to directly help the patients and families of Phoenix Children's Hospital is a top priority for PALs. We are here to donate our time and energy for any program or group at the hospital. If there is anything we can do, we are here to help.
History
The Patient and family Alumni Leadership (PALs) was created in November 2009 by Brian Bogert, Sarah Maurer, Tiffany Troidl, and Gabe Trujillo - all former patients or family members of former patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
